In 2014-15 I joined BFI Film Audience Network to coordinate the marketing, monitoring, evaluation and project budgets for the nationwide blockbuster season Sci-Fi: Days of Fear & Wonder.
The nationwide season included over 500 screenings of classic film and television programmes at over 200 locations across the UK, from outdoor events at iconic British sites to screenings in multiplexes, local cinemas and community venues.
As project manager for the BFI Film Audience Network, my work involved:
- managing communication and collaboration between the British Film Institute, nine regional film hubs, and around 200 event producers/venues across the UK
- creating and sharing briefings, toolkits and templates to enable a consistent approach to project delivery, marketing and evaluation.
- managing information on 900 events, and working with the BFI to produce press releases, print advertisements and social media activity to promote events running across the UK.
- coordinating and writing end-of-project reports for the BFI and its partners, which influenced the delivery of subsequent nationwide film seasons.
