ASSISTANT MANAGER, GOLDSMITHS COMPUTING

Goldsmiths Computing is known globally for its creative approach to coding, and recently launched the UK’s first online computing degree.

As Assistant Department Manager, I managed department events, exhibitions, communications and special projects. In 2016-18 I set up the renowned 4-week Creative Computing summer school for students at the School of Creative Media, City University Hong Kong.

Projects included:

  • Designed and managed the highly-successful international Summer School programme for students at the School of Creative Media, City University Hong Kong.
  • Project managed degree show exhibitions and performances for BSc Digital Arts, BMus Music Computing, MA Computational Arts and BSc Creative Computing.
  • Managed communications including print & online publications, social media and events.
  • Designed The Little Book of WhatIf, a book of computer-generated ideas
  • Commissioned and edited articles for the department blog.

In 2020-21 I re-joined the department, taking on programme leadership for the Computing Foundation Year, and module leadership for Study Skills for Computing.
