CREATIVE CAREERS COACH

I offer one-to-one and group coaching for people looking to develop their practice in the creative industries. Using a range of coaching tools, I help artists, writers, performers, producers and dreamers to identify challenging goals – and give them the support to achieve them. And, unlike in traditional ‘hands-off’ coaching, I can also bring my own life experience, passion and networks from over a decade working as an arts producer, fundraiser and academic.

What previous clients say

It has been an absolute joy having coaching sessions from Phoenix. His knowledge, support and approachability have made stepping into a world I knew nothing about before seem simple and achievable. His sessions have given me confidence and clarity and I couldn’t recommend working with him more.
Sian Clarke, performer and writer

I found my session with Phoenix really inspiring! He has helped me to shape a clear path on how to approach making my dream idea a reality. The creative exercises he set motivated me to think more deeply about the core ethos and mission of the business I want to create. It also allowed me to create useful and tangible assets that I can now use for my proposals.
Magdalena Moursy, cultural programmer

Phoenix was a gust of spring air after a long confined winter, helping me dust the cobwebs from my ways of thinking and see things under a new light. He was warm, open, resourceful, and fun too. I really appreciated our sessions.
David Labi, founder and director of Good Point Agency

Phoenix makes it simple and possible to achieve your goals because of his extraordinary ability to interact with and guide people. He will keep you on track and direct you to the key sources/people you need.
Roberta Brenna, Istituto Marangoni

From the very first meeting I felt completely at ease and in safe hands. He is an excellent listener and clear thinker. Every time I explained the complex issues I was grappling with, Phoenix was able to disentangle and unpick how I might approach my problems. One of the things that made Phoenix stand out for me was his ability to come up with clear and original suggestions for taking action. I never felt judged. Instead I felt heard, connected with, and thought about. Through his insightful comments and talent for seeing through problems, I am now in a much better place and have started making again.
Jesse Wolpert, artist

Phoenix is an incredible careers coach who has a natural ability to inspire others and help build self-confidence in those he coaches. He was able to help me to identify my passions and creative ambitions and subsequently create tangible, achievable goals. The practical industry advice Phoenix has gained from his vast experience in the sector will help motivate any person looking for a career within the creative industries. I now feel more connected to the sector I want to work in and feel a renewed energy in going for opportunities I previously felt unconfident applying for. I thoroughly recommend a session with Phoenix to anyone who is feeling a bit lost or unconfident on their career path. His enthusiasm, motivation and positive energy provides an integral foundation to the coaching expertise he provides.
