I’ve worked for the British Council since 2003 on English language teaching and training projects in Ethiopia, India and North Africa. In 2018 I coordinated and co-delivered a 100-hour course in English for Diplomacy for the trainee diplomats in Ethiopia. Currently developing online courses for the BC’s global Professional Skills Centre.
A ground-breaking cultural leadership programme to build skills and knowledge, and extend professional networks for cultural leaders in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Birmingham (UK). I co-facilitated the training and provided one-to-one coaching support.

I designed, managed and co-taught two 12-week professional development courses in the theory and practice of film programming, funded by Creative Skillset and supported by Goldsmiths, University of London.
Participants think about the meaning and purpose of programming, and take on practical projects that culminate in researching and running their own film screening events. Course alumni have gone on to work for BFI, MUBI, Film London and Fringe! Queer Arts & Film Festival.
I lead Goldsmiths’s Synapse programme, which helps students across the university to explore and develop entrepreneurial tools, think about their wider future, and consider the impact they would like to make in the world. I offer one-to-one and group coaching for people looking to develop their practice in the creative industries. Using a range of coaching tools, I help artists, writers, performers, producers and dreamers to identify challenging goals – and give them the support to achieve them. And, unlike in traditional ‘hands-off’ coaching, I can also bring my own life experience, passion and networks from over a decade working as an arts producer, fundraiser and academic.

Goldsmiths Computing is known globally for its creative approach to coding, and recently launched the UK’s first online computing degree.
As Assistant Department Manager, I managed department events, exhibitions, communications and special projects. In 2016-18 I set up the renowned 4-week Creative Computing summer school for students at the School of Creative Media, City University Hong Kong.
